“Can’t Select Database”

Installed 1.5, upgrading from 1.2. Deleting the files through my FTP client deleted my SQL database. I restored through phpMyAdmin by following the instructions on Tamba2.org’s backup tutorial. The error message I get when trying to access wp-admin/upgrade.php (or any other file) is:

We were able to connect to the database server (which means your username and password is okay) but not able to select the wrdp2 database.

I absolutely DO have the database name, username, etc. correct. I don’t get why WP is drawing a blank here….

My database looks fine in myAdmin, can someone give some pointers as to what could be done to fix this? Any help would be appreciated.
