Hi ana,
these 3 themes outwardly look to be uploaded properly:
http://strombolic.net/portfolio/wp-content/themes/
if you have uploaded other themes, theyre not in the right place.
can you load that proudfolio theme, or is that the one that you dont “see”?
Looks like you got you’re problem solved. How’d you do it? I’m having the same problem. My FTP says transfer successful but they never show up. It’s making me crazy.
Themes MUST be ftp’s to the wp-content/themes folder – within their own theme name folder. wooami’s video and other faq’s note this specifically. The directory structure must be:
wp-content/themes/
/default
/kubrick
/next theme
/next theme
etc.
It appears people are uploading all theme files into the theme directory without the proper directory structure, and the result is they will not appear anywhere.
Forgive for being naive, but I have successfully downnloaded a zipped theme into my wp-content/themes folder. Unfornately because it is zipped, I am unable to activate it to show up on my website. Do I have to upload another unzipped version or is there a way for me to unzip it from the themes folder?
Please look at the codex on uploading themes, and look at member whooami’s video faq.
Thanks I got it! I had to upload word press on filezilla and then was able to find the content/themes directory there.
Hello I hope I can still get a little help I’m having the same issue and the only difference is that I didn’t install word press powweb.com has to do it for you it seems and when I upload these filesinto the proper directory they don;t show up anywhere…
Let me know if you need screen shots
Are you saying pow web doesn’t allow you to install themes, etc on your own via FTP?
Find another host – that’s ridiculous.
