Can't reorder category menu – help?

I’m trying to reorder the category menu from something other than alphabetical. I’ve tried using the “My Category Order” plugin and it does not have an affect on the menu order.

I think this is the culprit:

<!–<?php wp_list_categories(‘sort_column=name&title_li=&depth=4’); ?>–>

… but I’m not sure. How can I rearrange my category menu to something more custom and not alphabetical?
