Hello, I’m trying to correct the order of my child pages, the parent page is services, and I want to order the services differently. I’ve changed the page order attribute, however, it doesn’t take effect.

I’ve also downloaded a plugin called “Simple Page Ordering” which allows me to drag and drop, but it also doesn’t apply, I’m not sure if it has something to do with the pages being created by widgets? But the widgets page doesn’t have a order option at all.

Any help would be great, thanks guys.

PS: It does change the order in the pages page itself, but not on the site.

Are you talking about the order on the menu or something else? Because pages, unlike posts, have no inherent order.

No, I’m speaking of pages themselves. It’s inbuilt into WordPress to change the order of pages, in the pages attributes. My issue is, that it’s simply not applying as it has in the past.

Pages are not ordered; posts are ordered usually by date. It’s up to you to “order” pages by placing them on a menu.
