Can’t login with 1.5

    I can’t log in (or out) after my upgrade to 1.5

    Basically what happened was I was already logged in after the upgrade because I was before the upgrade. I wanted logout but it didn’t let me for some reason (just kept spitting me back to the ‘dashboard’). So I deleted all the cookies and refreshed and bingo I was logged out.

    Unfortunately now I CAN’T LOG BACK IN!! I know the pasword isn’t the problem because I have tried entering an incorrect one and it says I’ve got it wrong. All it does is put me back at the login screen with the following url

    http://www.elvery.net/drzax/wp-login.php?redirect_to=%2Fdrzax%2Fwp-admin%2Findex.php

    PLEASE HELP!!

    Ahhhrrr…..this is really freaking me out.

    I have installed a fresh copy of wp-login.php (not that I had made any changes anyway). But that didn’t help!!!

    I have no idea what’s going wrong and I really want to be able to login NOW!!

    There is obviously something going wrong with the redirect, hence the dodgy URL param:

    wp-login.php?redirect_to=%2Fdrzax%2Fwp-admin%2Findex.php

    but even if I manually navigate to /drzax/wp-admin/index.php I’m just redirected straight back to where I was.

    PLEASE HELP!!

    Please, please, please, please, please, please!

    I don’t want to sound needy….but I am. I have done a full reinstall of WP 1.5 and it still hasn’t fixed the problem. I don’t know what else to do.

    It obviously isn’t setting any cookies at all (there are none in my cookies list).

    Ok, so now I have tried both IE and Firefox on different computers and cleared all cookies and cache just incase that was the issue. It wasn’t. WHY CAN’T I LOG IN?? I’m getting really frustrated here.

    Take a look at the database, table wp_options. Make sure that the siteurl and everything else is correct. If you have a .htaccess, move it & see if that helps. Don’t know if these will work for you, but it may give you a clue as to what is going on.
