• Hi everyone, i’m having this issue, when i try to embed a PDF file on a WordPress Page it doesnt work, i’ve tried with different Plugins like pdfjs-viewer and GDE and all have the same response, a 404 Page inside.

I think this could be a problem with the Uploads’s folder, but i’m not sure what kind of issue it would be.

If someone has any clue let me now please.

    Thanks for all the help

  • Hello sebash93,

Can you try to access the direct url of the pdf file?

Go to Media >> Library >> Select the file >> Copy the URL value. Reference: http://prntscr.com/5f8gfc

It maybe a problem with your .htaccess rules or your “uploads” folder’s permission.

Let me know what you will get.

    Best Regards,
    Calvin

Hi Calvin, thanks for your answer.

Yes i can access to the file with the direct URL, but when i insert this URL within the Plugin’s Shortcode it doesnt work.

    Hello sebash93,

Hmm, may I know the plugin you are using? Also, make sure that there is no conflict within:

    • The current wordpress version and the current plugin version.
    • Current theme with the plugin.
    • Plugin to plugin conflict.

    Best Regards,
    Calvin
