• Hi all,

I’m using WP 4.2.2 and NGG 2.1.0, I use NGG since a few years ago and it worked perfectly until a did an upgrade (I think) sorry I can’t remember the previous version.

Now the issue is on the pictures page here :
    http://www.dbr-prod.ch/?page_id=473
We can see all my galleries, we can open any of them, the pictures are displayed, but when we click on them, nothing happens.

I’ve noticed the url of the pictures are for example :
    http://www.dbr-prod.ch/wp-content/gallery/movimiento/DSC05275.JPG
and it’s possible to open them when right-clicking and chose “Open in a new tab” (or new window).

I already tried to deactivate all plugins and switch to the default wp template but this issue still here.

Please can someone help me ? I’ve a lot of pictures to show and they are my “Curriculum Vitae”

    thanks in advance

@vj_dobermann – Are you using the “Link to page” option in your galleries? If it is set to a page (for example the album page) change it to “not linked”.

    Thanks!

    Hi,
    thanks for responding
Unfortunatly all my galleries are already set in “not linked”

@vj_dobermann – Have you tried changing your WordPress Permalinks from the “Default” to “Post name” or “Month and name” as better alternatives?

I’ve tried to change the Permalinks but as you ask but it only breaks all link to my pages (error 404 everywhere)

@vj_dobermann – Changing WordPress Permalinks should not break your site … can you be more specific on where you are seeing these 404 pages? Was it for every page or only certain pages?

When I select any of permalink options (other than the default value) all my website pages aren’t accessible anymore, only the main page is visible

@vj_dobermann – Do you see this problem with Permalinks if you deactivate *all* of your plugins and temporarily switch to a default WordPress Twenty series theme? There may be an underlying issue with the installation that needs to be resolved before anything else can be addressed.

    Hi Photocrati,
same things… I switched to default theme (twenty fourteen), deactivated all plugins and set permalink to “month and title”,
my website is completely messed up

@vj_dobermann – You appear to still be using the “Default” Permalinks … changing to another Permalink structure should not affect how your site displays its content. If there are problems then that needs to be addressed which may also sort out the issue with NextGEN Gallery you are seeing.

I will try to deinstall the NextGEN Gallery and backup the gallery folder. Re-installing the plugin, if that won’t solve the issue, I will erase wordpress and to a clean install

@vj_dobermann – Those are a bit drastic as far as troubleshooting methods go but in some cases they are necessary.

Please let us know if this helps to sort things out.

    Thanks!

    Hi,
I’ve deinstall and reinstall the NGG plugin, that doesn’t solve the issue…

    I’ve founded the solution !!!

I ran the reset tool on “other options/reset option”

Great thanks for your help and I wish you a nice summer time 😉
