can't create any nextgen gallery

    hi, I’m working at a new WP website with ff 46.0 on ubuntu 12.04 LTS, last version twentysixteen theme with standard (deactivated!) plugins. when I try to drag files or import media library (I have some img already there) or to import folder the upload progress bar loops indefinitely and nothing happens.
    I get an error message only when attempting to upload files by selecting them with “select file” option.
    the message refers to a possible misconfiguration of my hosting provider (tophost.it), but I’ve checked MySQL and php versions are ok, mod_rewrite is active, PHP Safe Mode off… so what?
    I’m stuck, any idea?

    Hey @kyrd — I’d suggest updating the version of MySQL to v5.6, increase memory 256MB and make sure write permissions in your /wp-content/gallery folder are set to 755. Let’s start there and let me know if that helps sort out the error you’re seeing.
