Can’t Change Password

I get my email telling me my new password and I can log in with the password assigned but when I change the password in my profile, it does not take. It updates the database but unless I delete the cache under wp-content, I have to use the default password that was emailed to me.

I can’t delete the cache every time someone registers, any ideas?
