can’t access /wp-content/ file

I go to manage, files, and type in the box “/wp-content/”. It goes to a page that says, “Oops! No such file exists.” I’ve tried with and without the slashes, other variations, etc.

I have also tried accessing the files from the c-panel (BlueHost), with similar results.

My goal is to place AdSense ads in the content. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.
