    That’s basic access authentication: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Basic_access_authentication

It can be enabled via a .htaccess file and is therefore a “simple” way to establish a username/password for viewing *any* web page. Usually, it’s enabled via a setting in your hosting account’s control panel, so I recommend looking around for anything called “Password Protection” or “Security”.

If you can’t track it down, I recommend contacting your hosting provider.

    Thank you very much!

But how can I access my Website and search for things like “Password protection” or “security” when it is restricted even to me as an admin and I do not know the password? (The normal admin-name and admin-password do not work in the described window)

Sorry for the dumb questions, I’m kind of new to this stuff…

Not your website, you’re accessing your hosting account’s control panel to do what I described above. This will be the account control panel associated with the people you pay to host your site.
