Cannot select Show post excerpt

    The plugin is working fine with the default settings. However, when I try to select “Show post excerpt” in Settings -> Output, then “Save” changes, nothing happens. The excerpt is not shown on posts, and the settings page still has an unselected check box. The setting changes doesn’t “stick”.

    Same happens for “Show date” and also “Do not display thumbnails, only text”.

    Server: Linux, PHP 7.2.2, MySQL 5.1.73
