    Can’t select database

We were able to connect to the database server (which means your username and password is okay) but not able to select the esloscom_wordpress database.

I’ve been trying for the last few hours to install wordpress on an add-on domain. It has it’s own directory, where I uploaded all the files, nothing unusual about it. But despite manual installs, fantastico wizards, creating and deleting databases and users, and at least a dozen changes and checks of the wp-config file it STILL keeps referencing to this esloscom_wordpress database. I have no idea what that is, never created anything with such a name. Google search and nothing comes up about esloscom. I opened up a few files, still nothing.

And what is the DB_NAME in your wp-config.php file? (line #3)

define(‘DB_NAME’, ‘themicom_word’); // The name of the database

I’m thinking this might be a server side problem?

Some hosts define the database name differently drop them an email and ask them how they define the db name.
