With my configuration postie is accepting posts from any email address.

    Key settings I’ve used:

    • Synced with button: ‘process email’
    • I’ve tried it with POP3 and IMAP-SSL, both continue to allow an unauthorized user to post.
    • Allow anyone to post via email set to No
    • Permission levels are set to default: Admin, Editor, Author

I have tried with Authorized Addresses and with leaving the options blank still, the emails from unauthorized email accounts are being posted.

Currently Postie will accept emails from any address but it will not publish them unless they pass the security checks.
There is an upcoming feature that will allow you to choose what action to take when an unknown or not allowed email comes in.

Thanks, Wayne. I had it emails set up to post as a draft so I wasn’t seeing the difference between the two! When I updated, posts from non-validated emails came in as drafts.
