Cannot install. Followed all instructions!

    Hi guys,
    I have just uploaded all the correct files to an index folder on the server. When I go to view the config file to set it all up it sya error 404. I just can’t work out what I am doing wrong. Please could someone help me out? I am losing the will to live here!

    It sounds like you’re trying to browser to your config file?

    You’ll want to edit the wp-config.php file with a regular text editor, not in your browser.

    Hi HandySolo, could you elaborate on your comment? I’m having the same problem as tricknick. I had it running, then something went wrong, I do not know what, but I’m getting the 404 message also.

    Hi again,

    I’m not sure what version of WP I’m running. I installed it, got it going, then pretty much left it alone for several weeks. Now, for some reason, it’s not working. Since I haven’t made any posts, I’m inclined to start over again with the latest WP. I don’t mean upgrade. I mean uninstall the old one and start again.

    Are there any problems with doing that?
