Cannot access Forminator on local machine

I have been using Forminator for a long time and have always used it even on my development computer. But I’ve noticed in the last two weeks or maybe a bit more, I not been able to to access Forminator settings or even create a new form when developing a WordPress website locally on my laptop. I use Laragon as my web server and have been using it for over a year. I also have internet on the same laptop because I always install the Forminator plugin from the WordPress repository directly.

But when I deploy the same website to my hosting platform, the plugin works fine. I can’t seem to figure out why it won’t work locally. All I get is an error that “The site could not be reached” almost like something is blocking only the Forminator plugin from working.

Any ideas?

Hello @upperloftctns,

I pulled up a few tests on my end and saw that things worked like a charm to me. Can you help me with the Laragon, WP, Forminator plugin & PHP version you are using to try and replicate the following in that environment? Also, here are the screenshots from my tests:

Also, just to be sure, did you try and run only WordPress and Forminator plugin with the default theme and no other plugins enabled to see if that works?

I haven’t tried using the plugin with the default theme. I’ll try that and get back to you ASAP.

Okay, so I installed a fresh version of WordPress and installed Forminator. Currently using the Twenty Twenty Theme. Still the same issue. The only difference I seee between my dev setup and yours is the PHP version. I updated mine manually some weeks ago.

Laragon Version: 4.0.16
PHP: 7.4.9
WordPress: 5.5.1
Forminator: 1.13.5

No other plugins or themes are installed.

I’m not sure what could be going wrong here to be honest… :/
Have you tried any other local dev environment, just in case it’s a more generic issue in your end? Something like https://localwp.com/

Does Forminator store a log anywhere, maybe I can check as well?

There are no additional logs, you can enable the default WP debugger to get any additional information:
