I look for a plugin which is capable of image caching from flickr image. If this one doesn’t work, have you find an other (a good one) ?

    Thanks for your answer 🙂

It works, but the function is hidden under “tools” – “remote images”, dunno why. But not finding options and settings pages is soooooo damn annoying. I wish every plugin had a “to the settings” link in the plugins listing….

This is a major (and almost the only) flaw in wordpress.

But not finding options and settings pages is soooooo damn annoying. I wish every plugin had a “to the settings” link in the plugins listing….

Why it needs to be under “Settings” since there aren’t any settings? It’s just a tool which needs to be run once or occasionally so it is under right submenu.

BTW, this plugin just got complete rewrite, it should be working better then ever.

This plugin imported all of my images, unfortunately it didn’t change any of the links in the posts, they all still point to blogger?!? Any ideas on how to fix that?

Actually, I’ve told a lie. The image URLs are fine but the links surrounding the images (to open a larger version) still point to Blogger. I was hoping to get the larger versions in and have control over them too.

Did you have thumbnails from Blogger which were pointing to larger versions of those images? If that is a case, Cache Images won’t cache large images since they were actually not used in posts, it is just a link to them. Only images that are used in posts (in img tags, eg. <img href="http://example.com/pic.jpg" />) are cached.

Yes, it’s just larger versions of those images. Any idea how to get those across as well? Thanks.

You will need to change code of Cache Images. But I’m not 100% sure that this will work since it depends were same rules followed when images were added to posts.
