Bulk Add "Featured Image"

    I have been using a CSV-Importer plugin to upload bulk posts. It works great except for one thing. My theme is using the WordPress thumbnails feature but there is no support for adding thumbnails via the CSV plugin.

    Is there anyway to upload bulk “featured image” thumbnails? I have thousands of posts that don’t have any thumbnails.

    If I would have known I probably would have coded my theme template a little differently because now I’m in a jam and recoding the template is out of the equation.

    Is there any work around for adding bulk thumbnails?

    Maybe there is a way to bulk-edit the database in which WP is storing the thumbnail information? I noticed that WP does not recognize files added into the upload folder via FTP which I assume means it must be writing info to a database when you upload via WP interface.
