BUG – /tmp files not deleted

    Please I have BlueHost wordpress host.
    After UpDraftPlus makes backups (3 sites) temp files at /tmp are not deleted.
    Is this a plugin Bug?
    With this problem, /tmp dir reached and all sites goes down. I need manual delete files to get site back.
    Could you help or check?

    What names do these files have?

    UD doesn’t create temporary files directly – but the zip engines that it request to create zip files may do it. Normally system temporary directories, such as /tmp, are auto-cleaned by a scheduled task at the server level, so, it sounds like the root problem might be that that task isn’t set up on your server.

    I also have this problem, with site’s hosted by SiteGround.

    Everytime UpdraftPlus runs, there are dozens of files left in my /tmp directory. Each is 5MB in size. If I switch off UpdraftPlus then the files do not appear.

    Any suggestions on how to stop this from happening?

    I should add – this has only started happening recently. I’ve used your plugin for almost two years with no errors. But now this problem with files left in /tmp is causing serious issues.
