Broken Themes

    I just noticed that a number of my themes suddenly are broken and wordpress says the style sheets are missing, but they had been working fine for months. I had looked at a few related forums, but the information seems to now be outdated. When I try to re-upload the theme I receive an error message: “Unable to create directory wp-content/uploads/2014/04. Is its parent directory writable by the server?”

    I have had to activate a default theme in the meantime, but it looks awful.

    Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

    themes are located in the themes folder at /wp-content/themes/

    Why are you trying upload a theme in the /wp-content/uploads/ directory?

    – Also check the error logs on your server for a more specific error message. If you need help locating them, ask your hosting provider to help you with that.
