Dear Author, I had to dug out the whole repository to find this promising plugin. Unfortunately my installation is gone wrong (I tried twice). I have made a small screencast, so you can see what kind of behaviour I’m getting with the modal window. Please advice. Thank you

Unfortunately you theme is using the same class names as bootstrap, this is causing may style and functionality problems.

This is a nightmare to try and debug and I can’t recommend any solutions that would fix the issue easily. You need to alter your themes style in order to get everything working the way it should.

The accord plugin is a know issue and there is no solution on my end to fix it.

The default documents page is needed for mdocs to run and cannot be delete ever, this is just how it is. IF you want you can hide it by making it a draft.

I will have a look at the login bug sound like you may have found something there, I will get back to you on that one.

And the final problem is still there because by default bootstrap is on, you have to turn it off in order to get things working. As I stated before another version of bootstrap should not be running while on the mdocs dashboard page, but I know its your theme doing something to the dashboard. So you can once again disable your theme then turn off bootstrap in mdocs then re enable your theme again.

If you still want to use mdocs the style problems has to be fixed by you and your theme developer. I can try and be of some assistance but from a distance it is almost impossible to debug all the style issues.

    I understand everything.
But I just activated TwentySixteen theme and Memphis dashboard isn’t as it should be.

thats because you have turned off bootstrap.

Your theme contains a bootstrap reference on the dashboard, any other theme does not do that so if you disable bootstrap in mdocs any other theme will break.

if you turn youur theme back on it should look and work fine.

I’m really sorry to keep you here Bhaldie, but I’ve also noticed that my modal-windows (both front and backend) are always empty. I mean, description/preview/edit/etc… they show no text.
I also don’t have the download button.
    Thank you for your patience.

can you tell me if you have any javascript errors?

no, it looks like there aren’t any javascript errors… but something strange: the modal is empty, as soon as I open the inspector the modal seems to fill in (not always though, and not with the content as in plugins screenshots)

Is there any way you can update your themes bootstrap version to 3.3.7, it may help with some of your issues.

oh, I don’t know… there’s no option in my theme to do that. I do have some bootstrap css files though.
I have noticed that the modals do sho their content but after some time (yet, don’t don’t look like your tabbed screenshots, stylewise)

when i access your site it is very very slow, like 30 seconds to load a page. It also could be a reason why the modals are not loading.

This week you hare the second one saying that. I never had any speed problem (and still don’t have them). On the other hand, YSLOW says it’s related to un-minified css/js, which I cannot do until everything is fixed, can I?
Ok for the speed, but what about the content? It’s not like your screenshots…

    Plugin Author bhaldie

    (@bhaldie)

Content is based on your themes style, if you want to send me a screen shot that might be helpful.

…in these hours I have CDN the site, so speed will be solved soon. I’m also aware that my theme is badly coded, so I cannot put all the blame on Memphis. Yet, this is not a matter of broken style but missing content πŸ™‚ Currently not even my files are appearing on my page, so this screenshot is coming from the backend. As you can see, there’s no tabbed content.

okay let break this down a bit.

Lets start with the files. What setting do you have on the files

    • Have you hidden all files from non logged in users on the Setting page
    • Have you hidden each file individually from the file menu

Try looking at those setting and get back to me.

As for tabbing tabbing is only available on the mdocs-post page in the drop down menu there is a link called Goto Post this is where you will see the tabs “Description/Preview/Version”. From the screenshot that you are showing this is a normal output if you click on the Description button. If you had click on the Preview button you would see the preview.

Please check your setting for files that is usually the cause of “no file found” issue.

One other thing you can try is select all files from the mdocs dashboard then click the “Batch Edit” button. When that window opens simple click the save button.

The page now shows the files even if they were set “hidden for non members” both in frotn and backend. Probably a cache problem πŸ™‚
For tabbing, I found them with “gotopost”. Your documentation screenshots fooled me into believing it was going to appear in a modal-window as well. If it isn’t so, don’t you think it would be better for UI experience? Also because its style can be killed by any theme’s css (just like in my case) πŸ™‚

    (@bhaldie)

I will consider your suggestion but even if it was put into to a modal there is no way to guarantee that it would work in every theme.

thanks for the input thou πŸ™‚
