bookstore site design question

A friend of mine runs a brick and mortar bookstore. The bookstore’s current site uses Drupal and Ubercart, and my friend wants a redesign in WordPress. Currently, a search field allows users to enter any book, including books not currently in stock at the store, and order the book for pick up at the store. Clearly the search feature is tapping into a database larger than the local store’s inventory.

I’m still learning, so I’m asking those more experienced at this than me: will the migration of data from Ubercart to wooCommerce pull this database in? What additional steps are likely needed to achieve the same result in a WordPress design? Thanks!
