• I’m curious if this exists as a plugin or if this is an out of the box capability I’m unaware of. I’m going to describe what is in my head but anything along these lines will work.

I want a page, let’s call it User Blogs. On this page is A-Z across the top, and underneath is a randomly featured blog post. When you click on any letter it would take you to a list of usernames beginning with that letter from the usergroup authors. When you click on a name, lets say Brandon, it will take you to the Brandon page and show all his/her posts from the brandon category.

Now here is the kicker, and i’m not sure if this could be done:

    – everytime a new user is added to the author group, can I have WP automatically create a page and category with that users name?

    – can I configure WP to only show each user their category? IE if I have one called random and one called brandon I don’t want the user able to post outside their category.

Correction I do not need a page for each user, just a category to be created and the WP panel to lock them into that being the only category option.

There will be a second user group, memberblogs, based off authors….
