blockquote won’t nest

    This is new in 1.5: when I write something with nested blockquotes, the editor moves the tag to close the first (outer) block before opening the second (inner).

    Try going to Options>Writing and turning off the option “WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML.” (At least I think that’s what the option is called.)
