Block “Product Data” in Admin.

Hello,

In two installations that have the Worpress upgrade to 5.4.1 and Woocommerce up to 4.2.0 there is a problem in the product data.
This applies to the product data block where we enter the price, quantity, shipping etc.
There is no drop-down list of product type, drop-down list of tax class, shipping type. You cannot check the box for inventory management. Generally, this “product data” block does not work correctly.
All data can be changed in quick edit mode – it works properly.

I am asking for advice if this is a problem with WP or rather with WC?

Hi again,

Thanks for sending that info over to us. First thing to do here is to make sure that nothing is conflicting with WooCommerce. To test, first, you’ll want to change the theme on your site to Storefront, then test. If that resolves the issue, you’ll want to get in touch with your theme’s developer and see if they have an update or fix for you. If changing the theme doesn’t help, you’ll want to deactivate all plugins except for WooCommerce and take a look. If that fixes the problem, re-enable the other plugins one by one to see where the issue is coming from. If you don’t want to test on your live site, then create a staging site using a plugin called WP Staging.

Hello,

Thank you for the answer.
I have two the same installations WP, WC and motych.
The difference is that in one there is an WP update to 5.4.2 and on the other not. On what I updated WP to 5.4.2 there is a problem with editing product parameters.

I will check with disabling plugins.

Edit:
I checked a bit and the problem appears only for one language. The site has two languages and the products are created for two languages. Basic is PL and additional EN.

The product is created in the PL language and everything can be set during creation.
After saving, the parameters in the “product data block” can no longer be corrected.
When creating a product in EN language and after saving it, you can correct such data.
It turns out that the problem arises with the language that is the main site.

Hello,

The second site has only one language so there is no problem.

I think I understand what is happening now and it is probably such a functionality.

I have two languages LG1 and LG2 and set as the main LG1.
When creating a product in LG1, I can easily edit all parameters. When I create translations in LG2, there is already limited editing in the product data block.
this is logical because we translate only product descriptions and not e.g. quantity in stock.
It can be embarrassing when I have the language of the website set to LG2 and the admin page is set to LG1. I create products in LG1 and then translate into LG2.

There is probably no problem or error.
