  • Try a fresh download. Is this a local install or an install on a remote shared hosting account?

have you taken at a look at the error log? If so, please share.

Yeah, it was a fresh download on a shared hosting.

    And im using 3.6.1 release

The error log in cpanel was not really helpful.

That was about the only error message that ive got.

Never had this problem before. Puzzled.

Alright, well that sucks that we don’t have much else to go on.

First, let me say that if you have tried this a couple of times and still get the same results, then you should put in a support ticket with your hosting company. They might be having a problem on their end.

Secondly, walk me through how you went about install wordpress. Did you download from wordpress.org? or did you use a pre-built package from your hosting company? Let us know which and then what installation instructions you followed.

    hi jeb,

Yeah i’d normally used a download from wordpress.org and setup database manually using cpanel, and run the page install normally.

Ive done few installations without any problem and this was just happened recently.

Ive contact the hosted company and they managed to installed it, apparently now you have to used the ‘scriptulous’ module in the cpanel to install a wordpress for some reason.

Just not makin sense at all, if you ask me.

    hi xkensin,

couldn’t agree with you more. I guess they were trying to make it easier and made it harder to do a manual process.

If you would let me know which host you’re using so that I can make a note about it. Just in case someone else has the same problem.
