Backup & Restore From MY PC ?

    Hello –

    Before I go “live” (or immediately after) I need a backup and continued backups.
    UpdraftPlus seems to be THE Plugin to use. Before I download and activate it, I have some questions-

    I’d like to backup and restore to my PCs local drive and/or external hard drive. I have LOTS of space and download/upload speed. I know it’s possible – but how ? Would I still be able to restore individual components i.e. theme, plugins, etc as shown in the videos ?

    Hi,

    You can restore the backup using a localhost site. However, you may need to use the premium version for that. UpdraftPlus free version only works if you restore on the same URL/location.

    How about backing up? Can I back up from a local host to Google Drive, my email address or UpdraftVault using the free version?
