Hi,
Please could you send us a copy of the latest full backup log?
This can be found in the UpdraftPlus Existing Backups tab.
The contents will be too long to post here directly, but you can use an online service such as Dropbox or Pastebin, and post the link here.
Regards,
Bryle
Hello, I am having the same issue, here is a link to my backup log:

Thanks for any help
I am getting the same problem – it says “Requesting Start of Backup,” and then that messages disappears after a minute. When I try to download the most recently modified log file, I get “Loading log file…Bad Request (error).” Worked fine last week, with no changes to any plug-ins since then. Nothing has changed on the server, as far as I know. I did notice the PHP version was 7.3. I have now upgraded to 7.4.10, but UpdraftPlus still fails.

Hi @gallery606
Your log shows that the backup process is timed out or killed off.
Please ask your hosts/server admin to investigate their PHP error logs. These logs should contain more information on the exact issue that is causing the backup process to halt.
@wheezard Please can you also share your backup log with us here?
Thanks,
Bryle
Hi Bryle – When I go to look at the backup log, I get an error: “Bad request”

Hi @gourmetbebe
Can you reduce the split archive size to 25mb?
You can check this video on how to split archive here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S6yuXojgUBY.
@wheezard can you create a new thread, please? Then post screenshots or logs about the error you are getting.
Thanks,
Bryle
Hi Bryle – Yes, I created a new thread. Also, by forcing UpdraftPlus to use IPv4 in the wp-config.php file and by changing the split size to 25mb, I was able to finish the backup successfully. I’m not sure which of the two changes worked, but it does work! Thanks very much.
