    Hi Folks,

    Debug Code: BMI-aMvGbewg-01416

We have used your plugin for quite some time and now the backups are failing. This is a simple backup writing to the local server of the default items selected.

We’ve supplied the logs per the debug process and hope you can help. We’ve also tried removing and re-installing the plug-in as well.

    Thanks!

    Hi @highvolts

Self pings seem to be blocked by your firewall now or your security plugin.

WordFence is known to block the method you use, you may need to add special rules for your IP address specifically in order to be whitelisted from getting blocked.

As it’s usually difficult and it’s not clear where to put the whitelist I suggest our users to temporary disable WordFence for the time of backup.

You may also try to use this “solution” – switch backup method to browser mode, which is also commonly blocked by WordFence:

    1. Go to “Other options” section
    2. Change backup method: https://prnt.sc/1s1ofpa
    3. Disable PHP CLI checking: https://prnt.sc/1sljr31
    4. Save “Other options” section
    5. Force stop both processes: https://prnt.sc/1trv1tm

But overall this backup is a bit quicker than the one you use and should be more stable as well. Unless you need scheduled backups, but for that you still need to fix the issue with WordFence, analyze its logs and check what module causes the issue.

Let me know if that helps 🙂
    Thank you!

Hi – Thanks for responding! I tried the switching the backup method to browser mode, but that still failed. So then I tried temporarily disabling wordfence and it worked just fine. Thanks so much for your help!
