Backup emails went nuts
-
I installed the plugin yesterday and opted to receive database backup emails. Today I suddently started to get them in a bunch. 14:10 I got the first one, it was great. 14:22 I got two, 14:23 I got another two, 14:25 I got three. 14:26 I got one and I went to disable the notifications.
I’m using the newest version of the plugin and my settings for the backup were default (no full backup, email only as method, 0 backups to retain, zip backups checked, 1 table to backed up and 3 excluded, no scheduling).
I’m in the progress of migrating my site. I have an old site at my main domain and it’s not a WP site. I built a new site on another server and I migrated it yesterday to third host that I plant to use in future. I modiefied my own hosts file to display the new site on the domain that still displays old site (because DNS hasn’t been changed yet to point out to the new location). In WP config I defined WP_SITEURL and WP_HOME to be the old (to be) domain. This way I got the site working nice on my own computer even though the domain shows the old site to everybody else. I’m revoking the changes in my computers hosts file and will change the DNS as soon as the site works nicely but theres a few tweaks before I do that. I was wondering if this can cause some issues with the backups? Or perhaps the migration from the first dev server to the new server (some links in the site didn’t transfer nicely and they directed back to the old server)? Or is this perhaps a known issue etc?
What can cause the issue?
I turned off the backups for now.
