    Need help understanding what backorder yes and backorder notify is supposed to do. If I select either of them is still just shows the add to cart and there is nothing showing to the customer about backorder. With out of stock I see the text Out Of Stock over the image and it can’t be ordered.

    Notify simply tells the person that their order is not available. Yes pretends it is in stock. No does not allow an order

    For me it doesn’t show anything. Allows the customer to order as if it is available. I have to make it Out of Stock. Any help with why this is happening?

    Hello,

    WooCommerce shows notify for user on product detail. But depends on your theme. There can be some custom code. Try this with Twenty theme. This is not plugin issue.
