automate manual lists

Hello,
I am using the Blue Zinfadale theme and have a few custom lists on my sidebar. They are lists for favorite albums or movies of this year. I am planning to add separate category.php files for my respective categories.

Problem is I don’t want to have to manually update these lists for each seperate category.php. Is there a plugin that would solve this?
