• My wordpress site autoupdated tonight to version 3.9.2. The format is all messed up now, it does not even look like it is using proper theme which is graphene. Tried changing themes, to no avail. My website is now offline.

    Also none of the the normal admin toolbars were visible whenever I tried to work on it. The second I hopped out of a toolbar from with WP it went out to main website with no tool bars or admin bar available.

    Regards,

    J Turner

    My host is hostmetro for reference. I tried to downgrade to 3.9.1 but that failed now site is offline. Put in work ticket to hostmetro, hoping they can restore site to previous restore point.

    If you ever want to disable WordPress Core Updates then go to the root folder of your WordPress install and find this file ‘wp-config.php’ and add this line of code:

    define( 'WP_AUTO_UPDATE_CORE', false );

    Try downloading WordPress again and delete then replace your copies of everything except the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory with fresh copies from the download. This will effectively replace all of your core files without damaging your content and settings. Some uploaders tend to be unreliable when overwriting files, so don’t forget to delete the original files before replacing them.
