    Hi

I have installed and activated the Disbale Rest API. I se a difference from when it is not enabled.

However, I do not get an error, I get an authentication prompt. If I enter the wrong credential then I get the mesage “You do not have permission to view this directory or page.”

Is this how it is suppsoed to work? I thought it would not even give me the possibility to enter credentials…

    Thank you

    Hi @nadwordpress

This plugin has no functionality which would create a login prompt at any time. Are you certain that you are – or are not – logged into WordPress when testing? If you go to http://www.yourdomain.com/wp-json you should see a message similar to what is shown here https://wordpress.org/plugins/disable-json-api/screenshots/

Are you also certain that another plugin, or code within your theme, is causing the behavior that you are seeing? I do not think the behavior that you are describing is the result of anything to do with this plugin.

If you can provide the domain, I’d be happy to take a look and see what appears to be happening from the non-logged-in perspective as well. Let me know if/how I can help!

    Dave
