Are There Blogs Secure?

    I was asked by a friend for my opinion on whether the blogs on this site are secure from being hacked. My opinion is that they are just begging to be hacked since they all seem to be using code that is years old. But, most of them don’t allow users to register, so maybe I’m being a little too conservative in my view?

    All of them appear to be running WordPress 2.2.1, which I would say is pretty susceptible to being hacked. However, I’d have to go searching for specific info to be sure. They may have also patched them and/or are running specific security measures to mitigate threats. Hard to tell.

    Still, never a good idea to run old code.
