Archiving Posts to a page

I would like to have the posts show up on the homepage and then anything past a week to show up in a page i created called archive… How hard is that?

if it is easier i could limit it so that its only a certain number of pages on the homepage which i see is already a setting available. And it is my bosses that want it this way not me.
