• I used the codex manual to help me get an archives page on my blog. Now I have a page that says Archives, but when I click nothing happens. I have my posts set to 10 and now that I have more than 10 posts some posts are gone into files somewhere. I thought that I would be able to access them through the archives, but now they’re gone, and I can’t figure out how to get them to appear in the archives. I am a newbie so can anyone help with step by step instruction as I don’t know coding. I’ve tried, but get nowhere. Thanks to anyone who knows the answer.

  • Let’s get back to the basics.
    1. Any posts is “arhived” in the moment you are publishing it.
    2. An Archives Page will not show your old posts. An Archives Page looks like this: http://moshublog.com/archives/
    3. To be able to navigate from your home/front page to older posts – your theme MUST have the proper template tags for it, to display the Older/Newer posts at the bottom: http://moshublog.com/ <- scroll down to see it.
    The necessary tags: Template_Tags/posts_nav_link
    4. There are also so-called monthly archives and category archives – they are displayed when you click on a month name or category name.
    5. Next time give a link to your site if you want more custom help.

I’m new to and I don’t know what I’m doing and didn’t know to leave the site address. I don’t know the basics so I don’t know how to word everything like it should be. So thanks for your help, but I don’t understand any of this so I better just forget it.
