Archives

I downloaded the archive plugin and everything seems to work fine but im trying to figure out if there is a way so only the current months entries displays i have archives from may showing on the front page in june I thought the way it worked was each month only the entries of that month would show not the previous months entries and those previous ones would be archived under its month. If this is how the mod works let me know but I would like to find one that only displays the current month is there something I can edit to make it work that way?
