Do they appear if you switch to the default or classic theme?
Thanks for replying Moshu – I’ll test it. Will I lose my theme set up if I change over though?
No, you will not lose anything. You can have installed tens of themes and you can always switch among them.
Thanks Moshu,
I’ll test it tonight – when the majority of my visitors are likely asleep and not visiting so they don’t wonder what’s happening if the layout suddenly changes. ;¬D
I’ll post the result tomorrow – I really, really appreciate your help.
Hi Moshu,
well that is really strange! I changed to the WordPress Default, checked the site view and comments came up OK. So I thought “OK – I’ll have to compare the coding to see what’s missing.” Changed back to the theme I was using and voila! the comments are now showing in there too!
Don’t know why, but I’ll keep an eye on it and see if it continues to behave.
Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction
Carol
I’m having the same problem. I’ve repaired and optimized my Database several times and I’ve upgraded as high as I can go (2.6.2) and it still persists. It’s intermittent though, sometimes I can get comments to work sometimes I can’t. So it looks like using Default will fix it but that’s a temporary solution.
I’m wondering if anyone has a clue as to what the conflict might be so I can just remove the code from my template.
