Hi @baras – unfortunately the Square digital wallets cannot be tokenized. We’re working on a couple of possible options, but ultimately are working on hiding digital wallet payment options for subscription products/carts.

I see that you guys did implement Apple Pay + Subscriptions with other payment processors
(See your answer here).
We would be very happy to see the same implemented with the Square digital wallets.
For any solution you end up providing, please consider supporting All Products for WooCommerce Subscriptions as well.

Sorry for the confusion. We actually updated the document from that link that was posted 6 months ago as we have confirmed that Apple Pay itself actually cannot support Subscription type payments as shown in this link. So Stripe, WooCommerce, etc. as a whole *can* take Subscription payments without issue, but until Apple Pay actually changes its stance/capabilities (which is outside of our scope) then it cannot.
If it does become able to be done, then the functionality will be auto added to the plugins that support it (Stripe, Square, etc) as there will be very little that we have to do on our side to change things since it already works with the core gateway.
