Hello,
Yes, it looks like the terminology changed a bit but you got it right:
– Application key = Client ID
– Application secret = Client Secret
Once you entered those you need to generate an OAuth token, which is why you have that “invalid or expired token” message. Click on the link and you will be sent to your LinkedIn account to authorize the plugin to access your data.
However the error message you get “invalid redirect_uri” indicates that you wrongly entered the redirect uri in step 4 of the instructions when you filled n the API form. Please check that out (don’t forget the final backslash)
Regards,
C.
Hi Claude,
Thanks for getting back to me! I verified that I entered the correct URI into the LI application for OAUTH2, however, I still get the same message.
More info: when I go to the URI (https://www.dinospapoulias.org/oauth/linkedin/) in a browser session where I am not logged into my WP admin, I get a listing of blog posts. I’m thinking now that this is the issue. I’m not sure why though – I’ve seen a few other support requests regarding permalinks…mine is set to “Month and name”. Doesn’t seem to be anything that would interfere – but would like your opinion.
Thanks again, Claude!

if you go to that address without being logged and being sent from LinkedIn nothing special will happen, that’s the normal behavior.
try to go to the permalinks settings page a just save it then try to generate the token again. if it doesn’t work then use the contact page here: http://vedovini.net/contact and send me the url that you click on when you generate the token as well as a screenshot of the API form
Thank you – still didn’t get it to work. Will fill out your contact form now. Thx!
