I use manual preload via CRON and I get similar messages:
cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 10002 milliseconds with 0 bytes received - ERROR https://www.my page.... (mobile)
cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 10001 milliseconds with 0 bytes received - ERROR https://www.my page.... (desktop)
10 page have been cached

The error is not related to the web-server.
cURL error is not from Apache that is from remote website .

Litespeed is good for high-volume cPanel web hosting but WP Fast Cache is working great on Apache and Nginx too
this rumor that Litespeed is automatic better than Apache must stop going
