I have an animated gif file that works in the browser, but when loaded up into WordPress for whatever reason, does not function. I’ve loaded an animated gif file before with no particular problems – so not sure what I have done wrong. Mind you, this is the first time I have generated one myself – so this suggests I’ve done something wrong in saving the file.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance

  • sometimes it happened to me as well, but i had a very image heavy page, so the animated gif was the last thing to work. but it did work. is that your case?

No. It still doesn’t seem to be working at all. If I take the file and drop it into Firefox it takes off right away.

I’ll leave it on the screen for five minutes and see if it lights up, but…

I figured out what I had done wrong. When loading the image I didn’t pay any attention to the file size – which loaded at the medium size. The file needed to be full-size in order for all of its attributes to kick in.

    are you cool then?
if so please mark this issue resolved!

    cheers!
