• Hello everyone,

First time writing a post, but I really need help reducing the server response time on my website: http://www.uclacsc.org. I haven’t really found a fix to it but so far, I’ve installed: W3 Total Cache, P3, BJ Lazy Load, and a couple other plugins to try and fix the issue. Can any expert to WordPress guide me the right direction when trying to reduce server load times because the site currently loads way too slow.

  • run your website through:

    gtmetrix.com
    tools.pingdom.com
    http://www.webpagetest.org

these tools will help you identify the slow areas of your site and make suggestions. caching plugins alone won’t be enough to reduce the speed. look into adding the site to a CDN such as cloudflare.

    Hi Simon,

Are you sure you did install these plugin and run them properly?

Fixing website speed needs covering many issues at the same time. The plugins you mentioned are good but not enough. To have a good website speed thus a good google rank you need to do all the work! and the good news you can do it yourself.

I recommend you to watch this video, I am sure it will help you.
And please get back to me in case you need any extra help!
