• When I run a report in WooCommerce analytics, it shows a lot of the names for the orders as [deleted] [ deleted] but not all of them.

    Hi there!

I understand the concern. When customer names appear as [deleted] [deleted] in WooCommerce Analytics, it usually means the user account associated with those orders has been removed from the site, so WooCommerce can no longer display the customer name linked to that order.

Could you please confirm if any user accounts were deleted from your site recently?

Also, could you please share a screenshot showing exactly where you are seeing the [deleted] text in Analytics? You can use the following tool to share a screenshot: https://snipboard.io

I tried to replicate this on my end, and when deleting the account related to an order, the customer column appeared empty rather than showing “[deleted]”, so seeing your view will help us understand what may be different in your setup.

Also, could you please System Status Report which you can find via WooCommerce > Status. Please use https://pastebin.com/ or https://gist.github.com/ and share a link to that paste in reply here. Once we have more information, we’ll be able to assist you further.

    Hi there!

Thank you for sharing the screenshot of the issue. The deleted text indicates that the customer account has been removed from your site. This is the default behavior when a user account is deleted, their name is removed from the analytical reports.

Could you please confirm whether you deleted the customer account from your site?

I did not delete any accounts. I saw the “personal data retention” settings were set pretty low would that cause account deletions? I don’t recall ever changing these settings and have not had this issue before.

    Hi there!

Thank you for update. Yes, if the personal data retention settings are set low, WooCommerce can automatically anonymize customer data, which would show as [deleted] in Analytics.

So yes, this could be the cause of what you are seeing, even if you never manually deleted accounts.

    I hope this helps.

Before you go, If you felt supported through the issue, a quick review on WordPress.org would mean a lot. It helps others feel confident choosing it, knowing there’s help when they need it.
