This is a server configuration issue. There’s certainly nothing wrong at wordpress.org
But he always said its not his problem, he think its my site… wtf ?
It’s not your site and it’s not wordpress.org. It’s a server configuration issue as evidenced by the PHP warning that you have now added above.
his answer….
Pierre, we are hosting around 50-80 different wordpress sites on this server, and these sites are working well… we didn’t make any changes our configurations (except the php version-upgrade on the end of May, but your site was ok on last week), so it can’t be server configuration error.
br,
Send them a copy of that PHP warning
sendet allready but he will say this again….. i was saying him alot time, may sime trouble with the php…. and he always said its correct 🙂
so with that error…. wordpress is unable to get the rss feed ?
And the possibility to update direct from the wordpress backend ?
That i get always this error An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with WordPress.org or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums.
Try again
You have a server configuration problem. The server is actually stopping your site from contacting wordpress.org
i said this to him…… now he looks after it, but i know his answer allready 😀
When this is really the hoster problem, ill look for a another one 🙁
It sounds like your website needs to be placed within the /html directory on your server. (Sometimes hosts will have specific folders on the root and have you place your website inside some sort of public_html directory.)
Why your wp-config file – and potentially your entire site – is suddenly outside of the html folder, I haven’t the foggiest though…
it is placed on the webserver….
diffusion-art.com / html / there are the WordPress files and the tmp folder…
so….
diffusion-art.com
——————–> html
——–> wordpress install (each single file 🙂
——–> tmp
At the beginning after a brand new install, i get no rss feeds…. and when i try to install some plugins from the backend.
A PhPerror.log will be created with these kind of lines…..
[10-Jun-2013 21:58:54] PHP Warning: file_exists() [function.file-exists]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/www/katonatibor/diffusion-art.com/wp-config.php) is not within the allowed path(s): (/www/katonatibor/diffusion-art.com/html) in /www/katonatibor/diffusion-art.com/html/wp-load.php on line 31
And his answer……
well, I don’t have any idea how to help you resolve this L
br,
What the hell ?
I think you need to look for a new host…
Seems so, he is not reacting on that 🙂
i look for a another one, and the buisiness side must move then also…
cant understand how some people cant see the problem when alot people say where is the problem 🙂
dont understand your post, why should i change the hoster ?
We must find a solution, without to change….
hmmm :/
