• “Stripe Amazon Pay” doesn’t seem to be correctly registering as an actual payment method on my store – either as its own separate payment method or as being part of an existing payment method on your store – like “Credit/Debit Card”, “Apple Pay”, “Link”, etc..

“Stripe Amazon Pay” orders have the payment method of “Other” on my WooCommerce store, which isn’t an actual payment gateway on my store. This is causing issues with other plugin that relies on the payment gateway information to sync my orders to QuickBooks.

    Hi @jboyd2107,

Thanks for the detailed report and the screenshot! I was able to replicate this on my end as well, so you’re not alone in seeing this behavior.

Before we dig further, a few questions to help us better understand the scope:

    1. Has this always been the case, or did it work correctly at some point? If it was working before, do you recall roughly when it stopped, or whether any plugin updates happened around that time?
    2. Which version of the Stripe extension are you currently running?

In the meantime, as a workaround that should resolve the QuickBooks sync issue, you could use the dedicated Amazon Pay for WooCommerce extension instead. This registers as its own proper payment gateway on the store and appears correctly in the payment method dropdown, which should give your QuickBooks plugin the gateway information it needs. Here’s a screenshot of how it appears: https://share.zight.com/jkuGPlxy

Let us know how you get on, and we’ll continue investigating the root cause on our end!

I honestly do not know if the option worked correctly at some point in the past. We were using the Amazon Pay for WooCommerce extension, but noticed after recent update that Stripe had an Amazon Pay express checkout option. To this point, we were unaware that Stripe offered this. We saw an opportunity to standardize our record keeping on the QuickBooks side of things by eliminating Amazon gateway specific deposits.
    2. Which version of the Stripe extension are you currently running?
      We are running Version 10.5.3.

    Hi @jboyd2107,

Thanks for the detailed feedback and for sharing more context around your setup, that really helps us understand how you’re currently using the Stripe Amazon Pay option alongside QuickBooks.

To help us investigate this further and narrow down what might be influencing how the payment method is recorded, could you please share your System Status Report?

You can find it via WooCommerce > Status > Get system report, then copy it and paste it using one of these services: https://pastebin.com or https://gist.github.com

Once you’ve shared that, we’ll take a closer look and continue digging into this with you.
