While testing my custom theme with Theme Check, the following error arose: Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 1528085871 bytes) in C:\inetpub\wwwroot\wp-content\plugins\theme-check\main.php on line 29

Is there a way I can increase the allowed memory size within Theme Check, or do I have to allocate more memory to the server?

What on earth could you possibly be doing in your theme where it tried to allocate 1.5 gigs of memory?

I think your theme may be a bit large somehow. Maybe don’t have .svn or .git files in the folder?

Thanks, Otto! It turns out there was an out-of-control log file that had grown to 1.5GB. After I deleted the file, Theme Check gave me its report. The report looks helpful, so thanks for that, too!
