• Hi everyone,

I wonder if anyone can help –

I’m experiencing issues with the blog I am working on deathbedfood.com whereby all posts (53 at this point) are displaying on the homepage.

I am not using a static page for home, I have deactivated all plugins, I’ve tried a couple of different themes (currently using Avenue ) and have updated to the latest version of wordpress…

I’ve set the parameters in the wp-admin console ‘reading’ section to display only 6 posts… but still all my posts display in the homepage.

Has anyone experienced this issue & know of a fix?

    Thanks!

  • I’m not seeing all 53 posts. Only about 35(ish). Have you tried switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

    Hi there,

thanks – yep, I ran 20/10 and a couple of others… same deal. Also, I’ve tested this theme on another server with dummy content & the posts display & can be limited in the usual manner.

There’s something weird going on as the tab on the right which shows ‘popular posts’ has been limited to 12 posts – yet this is also displaying everything.

The posts themselves are not showing in chronological order either & when you paginate through the pages (at the bottom of homepage) you get the same posts on every page.

    Thanks for looking!

    Cheers,

Have you tried repairing your database? Do you have a recent database backup?

Actually, I haven’t done that. I’ll give that a go, thanks.

Just to update – not a database issue.

    I’m thinking it’s a query problem maybe?

Nope – not if you have the same issue when using Twenty Eleven & Twenty Ten with all plugins deactivated. Did you try- resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

Thanks – I gave that a go… but, the problem remains the same.
