All Plugins failing Update

This only started happening a few weeks or months ago: EVERY time I go to update any plugin, it bombs out and I end up re-installing it. I now have a side list of my installed plugins so I can keep track of them as I can’t trust the WordPress to do it. And, I need to leave the browser window open for several hours it seems for the download to finish. Closing it pre-maturely seems to negate the download. I typically start in the AM and leave it open all day. It happens with every plugin, not just one.

Any ideas?
